I love it when artists imitate nature. I was doing some house cleaning not so long ago, and spotted this nest of eggs in the window. I think they belong to geckos but I’m not 100%. I love how these are almost perfect egg shapes and they reminded me of my white beaded necklace. The garden lizard eggs I used to find as a child were always a bit wonky shaped, so I’ll say my beads are lizard eggs!

I spotted these gecko eggs in the window sill

The cat shall sleep in my sheer white photographic light cube tent and leave her grey hairy mess in there. That’s what happens when you go away on holidays and leave your cube (or new cat cubby house) on the floor. Stupid humans. LOL!

While I thought it was something hard, like, learn Javascript in a week, it turns out the fix wasn’t too hard. (It did require some mental strain through my notorious sleepy hour of 3 to 4pm plus four crackers with cheese!) SO IT’S FIXED. C’mon, send me a message.

Hello. Just a quick note to show you what I’ve been working on lately. These will go up on my Etsy shop in the next day or two. The colour on the left is a yummy ivory colour called Butter Pecan. I’ve been searching and experimenting with off-white colours for a while now and I’m really happy with this one. It’s a unique colour that may not be continued in production as it could be a difficult colour to replicate, but that’s the nature and beauty of glass production – you don’t always get the same results every time. So I am buying as much of it as I can even though it costs a lot more than regular colours. It’s just too nice not to.

And it was just a coincidence that they are all 5’s

If there is one big bonus of making your own beads, it’s getting to play with your beads. Going back to when I was a little girl, rummaging through mum’s sewing boxes, she had the ultimate treasure box hidden deep within. This box would keep me amused for what seemed like ages and I never tired of it. What was in it? Buttons. Now I get to make my own treasure box of odds and ends, orphans and one-of-a-kind type beads that sit all together in a mix.

So, one day I was taking photos of my beads and just had this need to pour out all the beads and play. I came up with a pretty little scenario and decided to take a photo. I call it Flowers and Bees.
